Price whacks Biden, but mum on Perdue
Rep. Tom Price (R-Ga.) took a shot at Joe Biden today for traveling to Georgia to announce a new stimulus-funded broadband project.
“Mr. Biden is quick to publicize the buckets of borrowed cash he’s handing out today," Price said in a statement. "But will he look Georgians in the eye on Tax Day when they are forced to pick up the tab?"
Price doesn't mention, however, that the Republican governor of his state, Sonny Perdue, will appear alongside the Vice President.
Georgia received approximately $7 billion in stimulus funds, and Perdue's spokeperson told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that they were happy to have Biden visit.
“We are looking forward to Vice President Biden’s visit on Thursday,” Bert Brantley said earlier this week. "He was very gracious to come to Georgia during the aftermath of the flooding earlier this year, including spending time at a shelter talking with families that lost their homes. We are glad to welcome him here this week under better circumstances to announce some good news for our state.”
