MoveOn raises $1 million to defeat Lieberman

MoveOn has reached the $1 million mark in their fundraising campaign to defeat Joe Lieberman in 2012.

The liberal activist group launched the campaign on Tuesday.

"[W]e're going to make sure every voter in Connecticut knows what he's doing," the group says in its fundraising pitch. "And then, when he comes up for re-election, we'll make sure we send him home for good."

It's been a long path from Vice Presidential nominee to progressive public enemy #1. And if his ardent campaigning for John McCain didn't ensure a strong challenge from the left in 2012, his healthcare stance almost certainly will.
