DNC raised $5.9M in November; builds cash lead
The Democratic National Committee (DNC) raised $5.9 million and spent $5.6 million in November, increasing its cash on hand to $13.1 million.
The DNC raised slightly less than the Republican National Committee's (RNC) $6.3 million for the month, but the RNC continues to burn through money at a fast clip. It saw its cash on hand drop from $11.3 million to $8.7 million.
Republicans won a pair of governors races in early November and have spent heavily on those wins. The DNC, meanwhile, has seen its fundraising come close to being on par with its rival. It has still been outraised $84.3 million to $79.3 million this year, but it has spent about $19 million less and is now building a lead in cash on hand.
