Pawlenty: No plans to return to Iowa or N.H.
Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty (R) said Tuesday he's not go plans to visit important presidential primary states again -- for now.
Pawlenty, who's considered a top contender for the GOP's 2012 presidential nomination, said he has no current plans to visit the traditional stomping grounds for primary candidates, Iowa and New Hampshire.
"I don't have any current plans to go back to Iowa or New Hampshire," Pawlenty said during an appearance on Fox News.
Pawlenty, whose second term as governor of Minnesota ends after the 2010 elections, visited Iowa in early November, and visited New Hampshire two weeks ago. The states are the first two nominating contests in the presidential primary schedule.
The Minnesota governor said he's focused on his political action committee (PAC) for now, and not visits to those states.
"I do have a PAC at TimPawlenty.com where I'm traveling the country trying to help my party and Republican candidates, but I don't have any current plans to go to Iowa or New Hampshire," he said.
