Erickson doubles down against Republican 'establishment'

Erick Erickson of RedState.com is the feature of a lengthy profile in The St. Petersburg Times today in which he vows once again to take on the GOP establishment.

This die-hard Republican doesn't even necessarily hope Republicans win congressional majorities.

"If they get back into power, who's going to be in leadership again? The same guys that led them into the minority, and they're going to think that nothing was wrong," Erickson said. "The top priority has to be beating the Republican establishment."

RedState has been particularly active in the Florida Senate primary, hence the St. Pete's media attention. 

Democrats are more than happy to shower Erickson with coverage, hoping that the more influence conservative bloggers get, the more national Republicans will look beholden to the right wing.
