Former Sec. of State won't run for Radanovich seat

Former California Secretary of State Bill Jones says he won't enter the GOP primary for Rep. George Radanovich's (R-Calif.) seat.

Jones would have joined a primary with state Sen. Jeff Denham, former Rep. Richard Pombo and former Fresno Mayor Jim Patterson.

"It quickly became clear that due to my current business responsibilities and my very important family commitments with five wonderful grandchildren, I do not have the time required today to represent the people of the 19th Congressional District in the manner that they need and deserve in Washington, D.C.," Jones said in a statement.
