White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel praised Chicago Mayor Richard Daley today, urging Daley to run for another term.
Emanuel's statement comes after the Washington Post's Sally Quinn reported that Emanuel himself was considering a bid for mayor of the Windy City.
"Mayor Daley is a great mayor for a great city. He has my full support and it is my hope that he will seek re-election," Emanuel said in a statement.
Quinn wrote that Emanuel considers the chief of staff gig an "18-month job."
