Ivey won't challenge Edwards in a primary

Prince George's County State's Attorney Glenn Ivey will not run in a primary against Rep. Donna Edwards (D-Md.) after all.

Ivey's unexpected exit comes after he decided not to run for county executive and instead opened an exploratory committee to face Edwards last month. He also eyed the state Senate, but it's not clear what, if anything, he will pursue now.

Edwards defeated Rep. Al Wynn (D-Md.) in a primary in 2008, and after he resigned, she won a special electon for the seat.
