GOP not Leiken its candidate any better

Things aren't getting any better for Sid Leiken.
The Springfield, Ore., mayor, who was initially touted as a top GOP recruit to run for Rep. Peter DeFazio's (D-Ore.) seat, hasn't done anything to back up that billing yet.
And after a few poor fundraising appearances and a scandal involving paying his mother for a "poll" she conducted, Leiken has turned in another dud. The mayor reported today that he raised less than $15,000 in the fourth quarter.
In fact, it is his worst quarter yet.
He also spent more than twice as much as he raised, and he has just $5,000 left in the bank.
Don't be surprised if Leiken doesn't make it to the May primary.
