Brown brings polling lead into Tuesday
Scott Brown is the favorite heading into Tuesday's Senate special election in
A Public Policy Polling (D) survey released late Sunday is the fourth consecutive poll to show the GOP state senator with a lead. He's up on Democratic Attorney General Martha Coakley 51-46, and it follows polls from Suffolk University, the Merriman River Group and the American Research Group that also showed Brown leading by between three and 10 points.
Coakley supporters will point out that Doug Hoffman led the last few polls in the New York special election in November, only to lose to Democrat Bill Owens in the only poll that mattered.
Democratic leaders are starting to spread word that they expect to lose, but it's hard to believe that they think this is out of reach. It's a special election; anything can happen.
