A solid first quarter from state Rep. Scott Bruun (R), who is challenging freshman Rep. Kurt Schrader (D-Ore.).

Bruun raised $160,000 and banked about $150,000 of it. His take is on par with what the incumbent has been raising so far this year.

Schrader has yet to release his fourth quarter totals, but through September he had raised $550,000 this year and $461,000 in the bank.

Schrader's 54-38 win in 2008 was aided by plenty of problems on the Republican side of the ballot, along with President Obama's popularity in the state. Republicans would like to have another shot at what is otherwise a swing district.
