Democrats appear to have found a candidate for retiring Rep. Vic Snyder's (D-Ark.) seat.

State House Speaker Robbie Wills is reportedly going to make an announcement Wednesday.

From the AP:

Arkansas House Speaker Robbie Wills is announcing his plans for the congressional seat being vacated by Democratic Rep. Vic Snyder.

Wills, a Democrat from Conway, has scheduled an announcement Wednesday in Conway regarding the 2nd district race, but a spokesman would not say what his plans are. Arkansas Business reported on its Web site Tuesday afternoon that Wills said he was running for the central Arkansas district seat.

Wills did not return repeated calls on Tuesday.

Snyder announced Jan. 15 he would not run for re-election, and several Democrats in the area say they're considering running for the post.

State Sen. Joyce Elliott of Little Rock is the only Democrat who's announced for the seat.
