Tiahrt camp has a bad quarter
Rep. Todd Tiahrt's (R-Kan.) Senate campaign declined to release their fourth quarter numbers until the report posted publicly. And now we find out why.
For the quarter, Tiahrt raised just $195,000 and spent $273,000, according to copy of the report supplied to The Hill. That leaves him $78,000 poorer than he was after the third quarter.
He also raised less than half as much as Rep. Jerry Moran (R-Kan.), who pulled in $404,000. Moran now has a $3.7 million to $1.3 million edge in cash on hand.
Tiahrt last week announced his new staff for the 2010 campaign, so his campaign spending is only likely to pick up. His high burn rate doesn't bode well for that.
