Former Ruth's Chris CEO emerges to face Kosmas
Republicans may have an alternative in the race against Rep. Suzanne Kosmas (D-Fla.).
After some disappointing fundraising performances from Winter Park City Commissioner Karen Diebel and state Rep. Sandy Adams, former Ruth's Chris Steakhouse CEO Craig Miller has emerged.
The NRCC promoted Miller's potential entry in a blast to reporters Thursday. A source said he is reaching out to local leaders and is "for all intents and purposes" in the race.
Miller should help solve the GOPs money problems by himself. Like so many other Republican businessmen running, he's got deep pockets that he can tap for his own bid.
Diebel and Adams have each raised about $50,000 or $60,000 the last two quarters, while Kosmas has $834,000 in the bank.
