Biden on Brown: 'I'm not worried about anything'
Entering the Senate at 5 p.m. on the dot to swear in newly elected Sen. Scott Brown (R-Mass.), Vice President Joe Biden dismissed any impact of Brown's election on the Democratic agenda.
Asked if he was worried about Brown's impact as the 41st senator — denying Democrats a filibuster-proof majority of 60 seats — Biden answered with a smile.
"I'm not worried about anything," Biden told The Hill. "I'm looking forward to swearing him in."
Brown is to be sworn in twice, first in the Senate chamber and then again in the Old Senate Chamber, which allows press photographs. Brown will also give a press conference at 5:30 p.m.
