Palin calls for Holder's resignation
Attorney General Eric Holder should resign his post over the Obama administration's poor handling of terrorism cases, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) said Sunday.
Holder is the second high-ranking Obama administration official Palin has called on to resign, the first being Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel.
Republicans have held the Obama administration's feet to the fire ever since the botched Christmas Day airplane bombing, saying that the administration has not acted forcefully enough to prevent terrorist attacks and has not appropriately handled terror suspects.
Recently, Republicans have criticized the administration for interrogating the Christmas Day suspect, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, for only 50 minutes before reading him his Miranda right.
White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs has said that national security officials have gleaned all the information they need from Abdulmutallab.
Palin had called for Emanuel's ouster over his use of the phrase "f*****g retarded." On Sunday, she expanded her criticism.
"I think these guys are giving our president wrong advice," she said. "Rahm Emanuel, I think he had some indecent and insensitive ways of being, including his language. And as I said for a variety go reasons, giving the president poor advice and his heavy handedness. I think he should step down.”
