Capitol memorial service planned for Murtha

A bipartisan group of lawmakers will gather this week to remember the late Rep. John Murtha (D-Pa.).

A Capitol Hill memorial service is scheduled for this Wednesday in Statuary Hall. Murtha will be remembered by Vice President Joe Biden, Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), Defense Secretary Robert Gates, National Security Advisor Jim James, and the following House members:

Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (D-OH)
Congressman Paul Kanjorski (D-PA)
Congressman Jim Moran (D-VA)
Congressman Tim Holden (D-PA)
Congressman Sanford Bishop, Jr. (D-GA)
Congressman Michael Doyle (D-PA)
Congressman Robert Brady (D-PA)

The service will also include the Marine Band Sting Quartet and a Marine Band Vocalist.

Murtha was laid to rest last month in a funeral in Johnstown, Pa.
