Dems push back against RNC's new ethics ad
Democrats took aim at the Republican National Committee (RNC) on Wednesday after the GOP went after House Democrats' ethics.
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) sought to push back against a new television ad released by the RNC on Wednesday targeting House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) amidst ethics problems plaguing House Democrats.
"That cracking noise you just heard was Republican National Committee Michael Steele’s glass house shattering. While Republicans hypocritically try to make ethics an issue, they would be well served to remember a few facts," the DCCC said in a memo to reporters, touting the work Democrats had done since taking back the House in 2007 to improve ethics.
The DCCC argued Republicans' ethics problems were worse when the GOP was in control of Congress, accusing Republicans of throwing stones in a proverbial glass House when they criticize Democrats.
