Poll: Americans less concerned about climate change
Fewer Americans are concerned about the effects of global warming, a new Gallup poll finds.
Just 32% of Americans think global warming will pose a threat to them in their lifetimes, down from 40% in early 2008. Exactly two-thirds do not think climate change will effect their lives
Moreover, 48% think the threat of global warming is exaggerated, up steadily from 35% from 2008.
Finally, more Americans are doubtful that there's a scientific consensus on climate change. Just over half, 52%, think most scientists believe global warming is happening, but that's down from 65%.
