At rally, Kucinich lobbied for healthcare vote
Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) received some extra encouragement to vote for healthcare reform legislation from an audience member at a town hall event with President Barack Obama.
Obama held a town hall Monday in Kucinich's northeast Ohio district and introduced him to the crowd. An audience member yelled "vote yes!" at the congressman, who says he will again vote "no" on the bill.
The president asked the spectator to repeat his cry then said "Hear that Dennis?"
Kucinich also voted no on the original House bill in October because he said it was too friendly to the health insurance industry.
Just before the rally Obama hosted Kucinich, who ran a long shot campaign for president in 2008, and undecided Rep. Marcia Fudge (D-Ohio) aboard Air Force One, giving him an opportunity to press for their votes on final package.
