Rapper LL Cool J is upset that his named was used in promotional
material for former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's new Fox News show.
According to Fox, the three "special guests" for the inaugural episode of Palin's show that airs Thursday are LL Cool J, country singer Toby Keith, and former GE CEO Jack Welch.
But LL tweeted Thursday:
Fox lifted an old interview I gave in 2008 to someone else & are misrepresenting to the public in order to promote Sarah Palins [sic] Show. WOW
The show is titled "Real American Stories" and according to Fox's promotional material, it will "feature real-life tales of overcoming adversity throughout the American landscape."

A Fox News spokesperson responds that they are cutting the LL Cool J (whose given name is James Todd Smith) interview from the Palin program:
"Real American Stories" features uplifting tales about overcoming adversity and we believe Mr. Smith’s interview fit that criteria. However, as it appears that Mr. Smith does not want to be associated with a program that could serve as an inspiration to others, we are cutting his interview from the special and wish him the best with his fledgling acting career.
