President Obama has a weakness for cheeseburgers and pie, senior adviser David Axelrod said on the Jay Leno show last night.

Among other secrets revealed: Axelrod was a bad student growing up, and he almost broke the president's nose during a pre-debate basketball game during the 2008 campaign.

Finally, speaking of the Vice President's propensity for gaffes, Axelrod made clear that Obama's advisers were wary of Biden's mouth when Obama tapped him as his running mate.

"Plouffe did turn to me and said, 'fasten your seatbelt,'" Axelrod said.
