Sen. Bob Bennett (R-Utah) may have been voted out of office by his own party this week, but his colleague Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) doesn't seem too worried about his own re-election.
Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) has suggested he may challenge Hatch in a primary in 2012. But Hatch said today he's confident in his political standing in his home state.
"He has the right to if he wants to," Hatch said of a potential Chaffetz bid. "He won't be the first person to challenge me."
"I'm one of the hardest workers you'll ever find," Hatch added. "And I intend to run again, if feel healthy enough to do it. If I can do the same work I'm doing now, [Utah Republicans] are going to want me. They're going to need me, and most people know that."
