VIDEO: Baucus: Public option not necessary for healthcare reform

Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-Mont.) indicated Friday that he believes the Congress can accomplish healthcare reform without the option of a public plan.

Liberal blog ThinkProgress asked Baucus on Friday whether it would be possible to pass a plan without a publicly-financed option, along the model preferred by former Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean.
