census jobs that will disappear by the end of the summer.  In addition, the Department of Labor reported that there were actually 22,000 fewer jobs created in March and April than previously reported.

Despite the failure of the trillion dollar “stimulus,” the liberal leadership in Washington passed another big-government spending bill last week.  With unemployment looming around 10 percent, we cannot afford to waste more time and resources on failed big-government stimulus plans.  It is critical that we act now to jumpstart our economy with proven free-market principles.

I have introduced a stimulus plan, the JOBS ACT, which would leave more money in the hands of small businesses and individuals, without spending a penny of taxpayers’ hard earned money.  We need to empower our small businesses – our nation’s real job creators, so they can create, grow and most importantly, retain employees.
