On Wednesday afternoon at Faneuil Hall in Boston, President Barack ObamaBarack ObamaWomen's marches draw huge crowds as Trump takes office White House spokesman blasts media over crowd sizes in first statement Trump defends size of his inaugural crowd MORE addressed the criticisms over the ObamaCare rollout debacle and the coinciding cancellation notices of healthcare policies that people have received from their insurers.
For all you babies out there, -- the millions of you whining over the cancellations of your beloved crappy health insurance plans (you know, the ones you were promised would never forsake you even after the implementation of ObamaCare) -- quit crying and wipe your noses; Obama has come up with The Solution for your health care woes: “So if you’re getting one of these letters, just shop around in the new marketplace.”
So simple, and yet, nearly impossible given the website’s default status of ‘The system is down at the moment.’
No brainer, right.
Also, he reassured the crowd that HealthCare.gov will ironically eventually “be the easiest way to shop” for new plans as techies rewrite millions of code lines in order to actualize the first step toward a single-payer system -- no doubt, the leviathan liberals dream of.
And (surprise!) he blamed Bush. Okay, he blamed Republicans.
What difference, at this point, does it make?
Obama never sees the fingers pointing back at him (although everybody else does). The Blame Game is a one-way street. And any finger pointing in his direction is really just a figment of your racist mind. Remember, he is merely a bystander who knows not of anything and everything the myriad of lies and scandals that pervade his White House.
He even goes so far as to blame Republicans for the failures of his signature piece of legislation. Was it not Republicans that unanimously voted against this law? Was it not Republicans who first warned the American people about the unintended consequences of this law? Is it not the Republicans’ sole mission to delay / repeal this law? Did Ted CruzTed CruzTrump's America: Businessmen in, bureaucrats out When Trump says 'Make America Great Again,' he means it Booker is taking orders from corporate pharmaceuticals MORE not fake-filibuster for 21 hours and 19 minutes bringing much needed attention to the atrocities of this law?
Oh, how this president spins.
You see, it’s your fault for not helping him pave the way to socialized medicine. If you could just stop being selfish long enough to reap praise upon the Affordable Care Act, then the website would not be broken, fraud would not be rampant and the security system would not be crashing.
For the millions of Americans who have or will have received letters in the mail from insurers dropping their policies... lighten up! The glass is half full, sillies. These aren’t cancellation notices, but rather “transition” notices. You are being “transitioned” from your current health plan to one with a higher premium and higher deductible -- for your own good, of course -- but hey “everybody’s got some responsibilities” and yours just requires you to “pay a little bit more.”
Obama may not care understand that ACA has essentially turned our health system into a zero-sum game with hand-picked winners and losers -- guess which group you’re in -- but, rest assured “it’s the right thing to do.”
Now if you thought the health insurance plan you bought on your own best fitted your needs and / or those of your family, well, you thought wrong. You were hoodwinked. Swindled. You only believed that what you had was good coverage.
Psshh. It wasn’t even comprehensive.
And any plan that is not stocked with unnecessary goodies technically does not even constitute as a plan. The old individual marketplace was an unregulated and scary pseudo-black market riddled with illegalities. No, you won’t be thrown into the jailhouse, but the exorbitant premium prices that come complimentary with your new “better” health plans will be punishment enough.
But don’t worry about the not-enough-money-in-budget-to-afford-expensive-policies part. Console yourself knowing that you’re getting “better insurance with better benefits and protections.” Obama insists that is what you really wanted all along.
Look, he promised that “if you like your health insurance, you can keep it.” So... if you are losing your insurance, then you must not have actually liked it at all.
It’s not his fault, it’s yours. Own it. Because God knows this president won’t.
