I am pleased that we are taking this month to give special thanks to those who have made life better not only for African-Americans but for all Americans. While we are making time to applaud the outstanding accomplishments of the Martin Luther King, Jrs. and the Malcolm X's we also need to keep the tradition going. African-Americans should once again become America's conscience. Those of us here today must continue the legacy giving our children and grandchildren a reason to be proud.
