Our campaign was about bringing change to Washington. Despite this outcome, it looks like that's going to happen, and we're very, very pleased about that. It was also about issues -- important issues -- like our role in Iraq, immigration, protecting our borders, fixing our health care and education systems, and protecting our armed forces, our veterans and our senior citizens. I believe results from around the nation indicate that those issues are going to be addressed differently than before, and we're very, very pleased about that as well.

So many people put so much into this effort. And many of you are here with us tonight and on behalf of our family, I want to thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for your trust, confidence and belief in what we tried so hard to accomplish.

With regard to the future, that great American philosopher Yogi Berra once said, "It's hard to predict things, especially about the future." But I can promise you that we Stuarts will always be here, we'll always be involved and we'll always be working to help make our community the best possible place to live, work and play.

God bless you, and thank you all, so very, very much.
