In this video, former Sen. Fred Thompson (R-Tenn.) condemned the New York Times and MoveOn.org for running an ad calling Gen. David Petraeus, "General Betray Us."
"Its more and more apparent everyday that the average 20-year-old serving in Iraq knows more about national security than many of the 20 year veterans in Congress," Thompson said.

Va. Dem. Rep. Bobby Scott
I am pleased that Mark is running for Senate. It is refreshing to see a candidate who is considered a favorite for another office because he did a good job in his previous one. Instead of running on slogans or sound bites, Mark Warner has a proven, established record as Governor of Virginia. He cleaned up the fiscal mess that he inherited, and worked on a bi-partisan basis to make Virginia the best managed State in the Union.

MANCHESTER, N.H. -- Only in New Hampshire would Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) come face to face with an issue advocate who compares him to Republican presidential candidate and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.
But sure enough, this morning at the AFL-CIO breakfast, as Obama worked the room he heard just that from Melissa Bernardin, one of the Granite State’s many activists who attend rallies and events hoping to talk to the candidates about specific policies. In this case, it was one of defense spending on “obsolete

CONTOOCOOK, N.H. -- Rock star politics melded with retail politics here Sunday, as Sen. Hillary Rodham (D-N.Y.) Clinton and former President Bill Clinton took in the Hopkinton fair.
The Clintons, joined by New Hampshire Gov. John Lynch (D) and his wife, toured the fair, enjoying old-fashioned campaigning, with a Secret Service detail, of course. The former first couple began with an apple crisp, taking the time to chat with Denise Lemieux and Jarrod Wheeler, who were working the apple crisp booth, before meandering around the fair, drawing a lot interest at every turn.
Lemieux said afterward she is still undecided but she misses President Clinton.

Concord, N.H. -- Enormous crowds filled the yard and the streets surrounding the historic statehouse here on a beautiful, cloudless day.
More than 4,000 people turned out to greet Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, as they returned to the Granite State as a tandem campaign machine for the second time this year.
The campaign said they were expecting 2,000 people, but Concord police said 4,500 people showed up.
And the Clintons were in no hurry to get to the next event this afternoon, staying well after their speeches to shake hands and sign autographs with their fans who stuck around.
Check in with The Hill later today for more updates from the campaign trail.
