Biden to tout clean-energy research in Colorado
Vice President Joe Biden will travel to Colorado Friday to tout the Obama administration’s efforts to invest in clean-energy technologies.
Biden will visit the Energy Department’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory, where he’ll give a speech on the administration’s plans for “encouraging innovation and investing in research and development,” according to the White House.
“The vice president will highlight initiatives that are spurring job creation and manufacturing, growing the economy, and helping America win the future,” the White House said.
President Obama has called for getting 80 percent of the country’s electricity from low-carbon energy sources like wind, natural gas and nuclear by 2035.
