News bites: Nebraska lawmakers set to vote on Keystone bills

Nebraska lawmakers are slated to vote Tuesday on bills aimed at altering the route of the Keystone XL pipeline, The Associated Press reports.

Chinese companies are mulling a plan to investigate whether the United States is illegally subsidizing raw materials used in solar panels, Reuters says.

China outlined its plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions ahead of international climate negotiations next week, The New York Times reports.

Reuters reports that Chevron’s Brazil oil spill “exposes the major environmental risks of tapping the country's new oil wealth and could further delay development by fueling nationalistic oil politics.”

Oil prices increased slightly on the news of new sanctions on Iran, Bloomberg reported.
