Solar companies to Fox News’s O’Reilly: We’ll help you go green
Solar companies operating in New York state are offering to come to Fox News pundit Bill O’Reilly’s aid following his on-air claim that there is “nobody” to provide solar or wind energy for his Long Island home.
“We would be happy to help you get started with your investment in solar so you can join the many New Yorkers who are already saving money on their monthly utility bills by generating their own power,” states an open letter to O’Reilly from over a dozen companies and two solar power organizations.
The letter claims there are hundreds of solar companies currently operating in New York state.
O'Reilly, in a mid-November broadcast, said Long Island lacks access. “I want to buy solar or wind for my house this winter,” he said. “There is nowhere, no one.
“No one will do that,” he continued in a back-and-forth with Alan Colmes. “I live on Long Island. It’s a big place. There’s nobody.”
Dear Mr. O’Reilly,
