News bites: Romney takes hit for past energy positions

By Andrew Restuccia - 04/03/12 09:05 AM ET

Mitt Romney once “praised the benefits that would flow from a slowly increasing cost of energy,” The New York Times reports.

Rick Santorum takes aim at Romney over cap-and-trade, among other things, in a new advertisement, The Washington Post reports.

President Obama and Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper didn’t publicly discuss the Keystone XL oil pipeline at a summit in Washington on Monday, The Houston Chronicle notes.

The Associated Press reports: “A California solar energy company that was unable to meet a deadline for an Energy Department loan guarantee last year has sought bankruptcy protection in Delaware.”
