News bites: Shell stalls in Arctic as sea ice approaches

Encroaching sea ice forced Royal Dutch Shell to delay drilling in the Chukchi Sea, about 70 miles off Alaska’s coast, the day after it began, USA Today reports.

Harassment of climate scientists appears to be a U.S. phenomenon, notes Inside Climate News.
