Biofuels group names new board of directors chair

By Zack Colman - 09/27/12 04:27 PM ET

Biofuels industry group the Renewable Fuels Association (RFA) named Neill McKinstray as its new chairman of the board of directors, it said in a Thursday statement.

McKinstray is president of the ethanol division with agriculture firm The Andersons. He previously served two terms as RFA’s vice chairman of the board.

“Today, ethanol is presenting the U.S. with a critical opportunity to expand domestic energy production and reduce foreign oil imports by millions of barrels,” McKinstray said in a statement. “The future of energy independence and a stronger America is being realized right here, right now, every day, in ethanol plants across the country.”

McKinstray replaces Chuck Woodside, general manager of KAAPA Ethanol, who served two terms as chairman.
