U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said Wednesday that rich countries are to blame for climate change, and that they should lead efforts to secure a global climate deal by 2015, The Associated Press reports.

On Tuesday, Ban said it is time to “prove wrong” people who are skeptical about global warming, notes Bloomberg Businessweek.

The world’s best-performing hedge fund manager expects an increase in U.S. oil-and-gas pipeline construction to meet new domestic production levels, according to Bloomberg.

Rep. Edward Markey (D-Mass.) and environmental group the Natural Resources Defense Council gave President Obama a “climate change to-do list” on Tuesday, The Guardian reports.

Electric utility National Grid plans to invest $40 million in a start-up firm that hopes to build long transmission lines to bring power from remote wind farms to denser population centers, MarketWatch reports.
