Interior Secretary Salazar ‘thinking hard’ about second term

Interior Secretary Ken Salazar said he’s still mulling whether to serve another term atop the department.

“We are thinking hard about it,” Salazar said in the Capitol Tuesday evening.

“My family and I are having lots of great conversations,” he said when asked whether he planned to stick around.

Salazar, who was a U.S. senator from Colorado before President Obama tapped him for the Interior job, did not provide a timeline for making a decision.

He spoke briefly to reporters after making remarks on National Park Service recognition of women’s history.
