Interior Secretary Salazar, with a nod to bolo tie, joins Twitter

Interior Secretary Ken Salazar is leaving the Obama administration soon, and he’s going out tweeting.

Salazar, who recently announced that he will step down by the end of March, joined the social media site Twitter on Friday.

Salazar’s motivation? His ever-present bolo tie has its own Twitter account, so he should too.

“Hello Twitter! @KensBolo is on here, so it's time for me to join as well. Can't wait to talk with you all about America's great outdoors,” Salazar tweeted Friday morning.

His second tweet noted that he’s excited to join Sen. Carl Levin (D-Mich.) for a Friday meeting in Detroit on historic building preservation.
