News bites: Chesapeake CEO McClendon's legacy

Chesapeake Energy CEO Aubrey McClendon, who pioneered natural-gas land grabs for hydraulic fracturing, will retire on April 1. Reuters has more on McClendon’s legacy, and some of the legal problems he encountered in the past year.

The Chinese company whose proposed U.S. wind farm was blocked by President Obama for national security reasons is suing the administration, according to Bloomberg.

A Dutch court ordered Royal Dutch Shell to pay for damages from an oil spill in the Niger Delta, Reuters reports.
