The Houston Chronicle has the latest on the BP oil spill trial:
“Testimony in the civil trial over the 2010 Gulf of Mexico oil spill will resume Thursday with a BP safety expert returning to the stand to discuss an internal report he issued months after the disaster on what the company believed were the causes.”
U.S. oil demand hit a 16-year low last year, Reuters reports.
The U.S. Coast Guard is looking into an oil spill off Louisiana’s coast about 50 miles south of New Orleans, according to ABC News.
A poll showed concern for the environment across 12 countries including the U.S. has reached a 20-year low, The Guardian reports. That poll was conducted in the summer, before Hurricane Sandy struck the East Coast and the Caribbean.
