News bites: Solar projects called out in Rep. Ryan budget doing fine

Rep. Paul Ryan's (R-Wis.) budget singles out a pair of federally backed solar projects for struggling — but The Washington Post reports they're doing quite well.

Reuters says a Chinese firm is quietly planning to invest in natural-gas filling pumps for trucks in the United States.

ProPublica looks at how a powerful lobbyist who has "pull" with the White House convinced the Environmental Protection Agency to approve a uranium mining permit that allowed pollution of a Texas aquifer.

The Washington Senate passed a bill Wednesday that would create a work group charged with drafting recommendations for curbing greenhouse gas emissions, notes The Seattle Times
