News bites: Unions on Keystone XL, natural gas to Japan, and more

The Associated Press explores the rift between union groups on whether to support the Keystone XL oil sands pipeline.

Japan's decision to join the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade agreement will likely make it easier for the island nation to import natural gas from the United States, Bloomberg notes.

Dozens of celebrities involved in an anti-fracking campaign in New York are doing so illegally because their banner group is not a registered lobbying organization, according to AP.

The Houston Chronicle has the latest on the federal civil trial for BP's 2010 Gulf of Mexico oil spill.

Oil-and-gas firms Exxon Mobil Corp. and Statoil have found another significant natural gas play off Tanzania, Bloomberg reports.
