News bites: Energy fueling exports increase

The Houston Chronicle says that while President Obama will likely fall short of a goal to double exports by 2015, the energy sector has provided an exports boost.

The International Energy Agency cut supply projections from Iraq and Libya while raising overall demand estimates for oil from the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, The Wall Street Journal reports.

Enbridge asked the Environmental Protection Agency for an extension to clean up the Kalamazoo River following a July 2010 pipeline spill that spewed oil into the west Michigan river, The Associated Press reports.
