House Agriculture
House Agriculture Committee Conservation, Credit, Energy and Research Subcommittee on Wednesday, Dec. 2, will take a look at the potential economic impacts of climate change in the farm sector. At 10 a.m. in 1300 Longworth.
On Thursday, the same subpanel will review the costs and benefits of agriculture offsets, same time and place.
House Energy and Commerce
The House Energy and Commerce Committee on Energy and Environment Subcommittee is holding a hearing on Wednesday, Dec. 2, on how the effort to regulate derivatives will affect energy markets. The hearing starts at 1 p.m. and takes place in 2322 Rayburn.
Senate Energy and Natural Resources
The Senate Energy panel examines policy options for reducing greenhouse gas emissions on Wednesday, Dec. 2. The hearing starts at 10 a.m. in 366 Dirksen.
The Committee’s National Parks Subcommittee will review grid-scale energy storage in meeting energy and climate goals on Thursday, Dec. 3, in 366 Dirksen. The hearing starts at 2:30 p.m.
Senate Environment and Public Works
The full committee and Superfund, Toxics, and Environmental Health Subcommittee hold a joint hearing on oversight of the Federal Toxic Substances Control Act on Wednesday, Dec. 2, at 2:30 p.m. in 406 Dirksen.
