Kerry, Graham, Lieberman climate comments en route

By Ben Geman - 12/10/09 11:34 AM ET

Sens. John Kerry (D-Mass.), Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) are holding a press conference at 2 p.m. on climate change and energy.

The three are working together to craft a bill that can attract 60 Senate votes -- they have been discussing a package that merges greenhouse gas emissions caps with expanded domestic oil-and-gas drilling, and greater federal support for building new nuclear power plants, among other measures.

The senators have floated the idea of releasing an outline of their plan before Kerry attends the Copenhagen climate talks. Will it be today? Stay tuned.
