Rep. Weiner seeks bisphenol-A ban

Rep Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.) introduced legislation Wednesday that would ban the chemical bisphenol-A – which has been linked to developmental problems in children and heart ailments – from any food or beverage container marketed for children three years old and younger.
Sen. Chuck Schumer (D.N.Y.) introduced a version of the bill late last year.
