Energy companies spend more to lobby

I wrote a short story for the main page about energy trade groups spending more to lobby Congress and the administration last year.
Trade groups including the Edison Electric Institute and the American Wind Energy Association increased their spending, as lawmakers considered climate legislation and a stimulus bill that included $80 billion in clean-energy funding.
In general, the recession didn't seem to have much effect on K Street. Several lobbying firms reported increases in revenues in 2009 as Democrats pursued an aggressive agenda that also included healthcare and financial services reforms.
