James Taylor jokes about Clint Eastwood at Dem convention

Singer James Taylor quickly made it clear Thursday night that he would not be pulling a Clint Eastwood during his performance at the Democratic National Convention.

As he approached a stool on the convention stage to perform "Carolina in My Mind," he quickly said, "I'm gonna sit on it. I'm not going to talk to it."

Eastwood addressed the Republican convention last week with a skit in which he pretended to have a conversation with President Obama, using an empty chair to represent Obama.

Before starting "You've Got a Friend," Taylor quipped: "I'm an old white guy, and I love Barack ObamaBarack ObamaClinton and Trump should 'name names' on foreign policy picks Jesse Jackson group urges blacks to unite — and vote Calif. Dem touts her 'badass' sister's Senate run MORE."
