GOP Congressman resigns in midst of scandal

The House accepted the abrubt resignation of Rep. Christopher Lee (R-N.Y.) at 5:58 p.m. on Wednesday.

A report broke on Wednesday on the gossip and news website Gawker that claimed the married Republican had e-mailed a shirtless pictures of himself to a woman he met on Craigslist.

The House now stands at 434 members. The House has adjourned until 10 a.m Thursday morning.
