

House, Senate committees plan FY 2012 budget hearings next week
Next week is all about the budget. The Monday release of the Obama administration's fiscal year 2012 budget proposal will begin a string of budget hearings, featuring several Cabinet officials.
Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner will testify on the budget at the House committees on Budget and Ways and Means and the Senate Finance Committee. Office of Management and Budget Director Jacob Lew, Defense Secretary Robert Gates, Labor Secretary Hilda Solis, and Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius also testify in various committees.
